Diesel Stakeholders Work Group

I.     Welcome and Introductions - Dave Sladek and Doug Lawson,
       Work Group Co-Chairs

II.    Overview of Work Group

Ken Lloyd, RAQC Executive Director, will provide a brief explanation of the Work Group’s issues, objectives, schedule and expected products.

III.    Diesel Emissions/Regulations in the Denver Region and
          National Emissions Trends

Jerry Dilley, RAQC staff, will present an overview of the Denver region’s air quality status and information regarding the contribution of on-road and off-road diesel emissions. Jerry will also give an overview of current state diesel regulations and programs.

IV.    Federal Regulatory Perspective/ EPA Programs

Jim Blubaugh of EPA’s Office of Transportation and Air Quality in Washington, D.C. will address the federal regulatory changes for diesel off-road and on-road engines and fuels, the Voluntary Diesel Retrofit Program and the recently introduced Diesel Idling Program.

V.    Industry Perspective/Diesel Technology Forum

Allen Schaeffer, Executive Director of the Diesel Technology Forum in Washington, D.C., will discuss the role of clean diesel technology in the nation’s transportation system and meeting clean air goals.

VI.    Priority List of Issues for Future Discussion

The Work Group will discuss issues to be considered at future meetings.
