Diesel Stakeholder Work Group

Purpose:    

The Work Group will assess diesel issues in the Denver region and explore opportunities for further reducing diesel emissions in the future.  Discussion topics may include but are not limited to: improvements to the current state Diesel I/M program; the impact of new federal standards/programs; the urban bus program; repower/retrofit/rebuild options; accelerated retirement programs; off-road engines/fuels; innovative national pilot programs; local initiatives; and future research needs.

Schedule:

The Work Group will meet regularly over the next six or seven months, with a goal of issuing a report and recommendations to the RAQC and AQCC by April 2002. Members of the Work Group will assist with identifying options for analysis and provide technical and policy review and assistance throughout the process.
