Representatives from EPA Region 8 will present EPA’s Environmental Achievement Award to staff from the Regional Air Quality Council, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and the City and County of Denver for their efforts to promote the voluntary diesel retrofit program and the Rocky Mountain Clean Diesel Campaign.

VI.        Public Comment and Discussion

The Council invites local elected officials, members of the business community, citizens groups, and other members of the public to comment on air quality issues and the work of the RAQC.

VII.              Summer 2007 Ozone Outreach Program

Staff will outline plans for the “Let’s Take Care of Our Summer Air” ozone outreach and awareness program this summer.

VIII.            Diesel Retrofit Projects

Staff will discuss the launch of the new diesel retrofit project with local government, school district and CDOT fleets under a new CMAQ grant.  Staff will also update Council on other new and existing retrofit projects.

IX.               February Air Pollution Episode

Staff from the Air Pollution Control Division will present information on the February 7-15 air pollution episode that produced high levels of PM-2.5 throughout the region.
